we got to help the second year MUA's out with there makeup for the stage play 'The Witches' they asked us to help out as they wouldn't have time to create all the looks themselves with the time they had as they are only a small group along side us. The plan was as we had just learnt stage makeup we would do the simplest looks for all the extras following face charts the second years had created for these characters. I really enjoyed this as it was my first time working on any sort of performance, I got to create makeup for an actor who was playing three different roles on stage so her makeup was kept to a standard stage makeup as this roles weren't main characters the look would work well for them all. We also got to help out where needed once we where finished with the extras, so I got to apply the makeup for one of the Witches, I helped another MUA out finishing off her makeup as she wasn't confident doing the eye makeup, I helped cover one of the bald caps in makeup and colour the boils for this also for one of the Witches, I really enjoyed getting stuck in and helping out wherever i could.

The second day we had another meeting with the second years as they had discussed the previous night with themselves to see where they could improve, so they asked us if we would just stick to the extras this night and told us that they had updated some of the face charts as some of the makeup looks weren't quite right, told us that timings had been set between the actors to make the room not as chaotic as the previous night. So I chose 3 face charts for the extras to do for the show and the night went a lot more smoothly. One of the girls I had done the makeup for the previous night had came in and asked if I would be able to do hers again today but unfortunately because she was one of the main characters I wouldn't be able to do hers as we were meant to stick to the extras. I carried on and finished all my makeup looks then one of the second year MUA's came and asked if I wouldn't mind doing the makeup for one of the Witches since I was finished with mine ( the girl who had previously asked me) I said yes of course! the actor said she kept waiting to me to be finished so she could get hers done by me since she liked the way i applied it the night before which was a really nice compliment. After this makeup was finished everyone else was roughly finishing up as well so I decided to take some photos of the makeup look since I'd forgotten to get any others over these two days. I really enjoyed working on the show and cant wait for the next one!
