As the shows are creeping closer now, this week we needed to made sure the designs we had work for our characters. The original designs we had for Cinderella weren't quite right, so I decided instead of drawing another face chart first id just try the makeup looks out and see what i came up with so I could amend or add as I went then make the face chart afterwards. I decided I should start with the poor version on Cinderella so that I could also see how quickly we would be able to do her change over. Cinderella needed to look beautiful but more of a natural beauty so I kept the look as natural as I could using more neutral colours on the eyes and lip, not to heavy on the contour either but still enough for stage. I wanted the look as basic as possible so that when I change her makeup over to when she Is at the ball you see a big difference.

For changing Cinderellas makeup I didn't want to be removing her makeup much so I just removed the brown shade from the eyes, so I could go back in with a sliver shimmer shade to brighten the eye right up, I give her a bold black winged liner as all our richer characters have a graphic style to them, I went over the shimmer in loose glitter just to make the eyes sparkle more. I deepened the contour and added more blush taking it higher up her cheekbones.
As Cinderella is one of the main characters and we want her to really stand out I also used the glitter as highlighter around the sides of her face giving a bigger glow to her skin, added lashes and gems to her eyes and a glossy lip.

The other thing we really needed to work on was hair styles. We needed to see which styles would go with which characters and also practice the hair styles to make sure they looked alright. As some of the others aren't that confident with hair and I really enjoy trying hairstyles, I left the easier ones and tried a couple of the other ones out.

As everyone was happy with this styles and thought they would look great it was just a case of which characters would they suit the most. We decided as a group that these would be great for the step sisters and we have planned their makeup looks to be very similar to each other so to add these would just add to them being similar characters.

One of the other MUA;'s had also practised hair and she came up with Cinderellas hairstyle for when she's poor, which with it being a loose plait I said we would be able to curl it first and hopefully it would hold some of the curls in so then once we change her over we can undo her hair and just go over the top part of her hair to make the change quicker.
