Theatre  

Roal Dahl’s The Witches     –     21/10/21 - 22/10/21     -     Margaret Armstrong Theatre 

Working on The Witches included having to colour bald caps covered in boils and create classic stage makeup, also making sure all the acting extras were stage ready with makeup. 

Elf     -     07/12/21 - 16/12/21     -     Margaret Armstrong Theatre  

Elf was a musical theatre performance which included a lot of children in there show one of my jobs was to make sure all the children were stage ready applying a strong stage makeup following face charts created for the characters.  

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory     -     18/01/22 - 20/01/22     -     Margaret Armstrong Theatre 

This was the first performance that as a makeup team we had to plan each part of the hair and makeup looks for each character and try to bring the directors visions to life. Throughout the shows some of the makeup skills I used included - beards using crepe wool, old age theatre makeup, hair styling, wig styling, hair wrapping ready for wigs etc 

Into The Woods     -     12/05/22 - 13/05/22     -     The Arc Theatre  

Into the Woods was a collaborative piece between the Makeup team and the HE musical theatre performers, as a team we got giving a brief and had to create the hair and makeup looks for each character. 

Halloween Immersive Theatre Show     -     30/10/22 - 31/10/22     -     The Globe Theatre  

This Halloween event I used my special effects skills alongside my makeup skills to create spooky characters ready for the live tours around The Globe Theatre 

Fashion  

House of Zana Fashion Show     -     17/02/22    -     Teesside International Airport  

Created a cohesive makeup look following a face chart design on models provided by fashion designer.  

Fashion shoot     -     28/04/22     -     Teesside University  

Created six different makeup looks on one model provided in a limited number of hours  

Fashion Show     -     19/05/22     -     Teesside University 

Fashion show following on from the fashion shoot using same model but a cohesive makeup design to match all models in the show.

 

Film  

Alice and the Cold Case     -     18/11/21 - 14/12/21     -     Murder Mystery Film set in the 80’s  

I had to use my continuity skills a lot during the shooting of this film as this was filmed over a month extended period in various stages, so I had to make sure the characters looked the same throughout all the filming.  

Gluttony     -     03/01/22     -     Short Film based around one of the seven deadly sins  

This film required special effects makeup, the director wanted bite marks, cuts, scratches, and bruising. I used a mixture of wax, bruise Pallet, and blood to create this looks.

Role play simulation     -     24/11/22     -     James Cook University Hospital  

I got giving a brief to create a burns victim including 2nd and 3rd degree burns and bruising on specific parts of the body for a role-playing simulation to be used for medical students' evaluations, for this I had to make sure I had my reference material right and to make it as realistic as I could. 

Alongside these I also create Hair and Makeup looks for all occasions such as Everyday makeup, looks for Baby showers, glam nights out, 80’s inspired, male to female, festival looks all being on a wide range of ages from younger to more mature both male and female.
